South and East Asia Pollution Problems
There are many things polluting the land in Southeast Asia. Not only the land but the air also.
Ganges River:
The Ganges River is located in one of Southeast Asia's countries; India. It is a a very polluted river, in 2007 it was ranked as fifth most polluted in the world. Everyday about two million tons of chemical, human, and agricultural waste pours into the river. This obviously causes the river to be very polluted. It causes many deceases, and the whole community gets effected. Many people get sick and can even die from these diseases.
Solutions? There is some solutions to reduce some waste from the river. One of them is to build sewage and water treatment plants along the river, which helps get rid of some of the waste.

Yangtze River:
The Yangtze River is the biggest river in China, and the third biggest river in the world. The river provides many resources to the nation, but is very polluted.Billions of chemicals are poured into the river each year. This causes diseases, and puts the cities around the river at risks.
Solutions? To reduce the amount of waste in the river they are building more water treatment facilities around the river. Also they are dumping the waste in landfills instead of the river.

Air pollution in China:
Air pollution in china is caused by over population and construction. This leads to many deaths in this country.
Solutions? They have created a law called the Beijing Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau to help clean the air.

These are citizens in China. They have to wear masks over there mouth and nose to protect their body from the harmful air surrounding them.
Flooding in China:
Although monsoons are beneficial for farmers, they also can bey very dangerous. They causes many deaths in China. They are very dangerous and can wipe out whole cities if strong enough. When citizen go outside they have to wear masks to protect themselves form the harmful air.
